At The 2009 AGM members welcomed Mr T Bacon as Chairman and Mrs  D Pryke as Vice Chairman. The County Coaches, J Rednall and J Macheath, took a session based upon the Suffolk Junior Bowls Academy Skills Award with young bowlers.

Dear Coaches:

We have set up a programme of Level 1,2 and 3 courses to be undertaken during the summer outdoor season. A similar programme will be set up for the autumn at different venues to ensure everyone can get to one for their required level. A seminar for potential Level 4 Coaches will be arranged once the numbers are known.

A set course fee has been drawn up to cover all the required costs, including manuals, but local venue costs will have to be added once they are known. The fees are as follows for the basic needs:

Level 1 - £28.00                                              Level 2 - £25.00                     

Level 3 - £25.00                                              Youth -   £25.00.

The Summer Courses are:

a)      Level 1             Ipswich IBC     Friday 24 April 2009             6.00pm to 9.00pm

Saturday 25 April 2009        9.00am to 12.00am

Sunday 26 April 2009            9.00am to 12.00am

b)      Level 2 Potters Leisure Resort

Saturday 20 June                      9.00am – 4.00pm

 Sunday 21 June 2009              9.00am – 4.00pm

c)      Level 3 Potters Leisure Resort

Sunday 5 July 2009                9.00am to 4.00pm

All Candidates MUST attend ALL the Sessions for their Level

The rules have been changed. Those undertaking Level 1 (Foundation) may now enrol straight away for the Level 2 Course .

Advanced Certificate:  If you wish to attend the Advanced Certificate Seminar, please let me have your name and contact details.

All information regarding Coach Award Certificates should come through to Dr Jean A Macheath MBE AND All planned courses to be run by other Coaches must also come through Jean; all results and forms sent to her with the relevant fees payable to SCBCA.
